Jerome is pretty much a future-oriented person. He's an abstract thinker that sees the big picture and is virtually dissociated from empirical data. Yes indeed, he is very chaotic and can be impulsive though the last part is because he's an insane 7w8. He behaves this way, not only because it's fun for him and for the sake of it, but also because it's part of something bigger. He saw himself as a concept, an idea. Jerome wanted to become a philosophy that would embrace Gotham even after his physical death. He is a very chaotic Ne user, letting it run without any restraint. He's good at improvising and a quick thinker, constantly branching out possibilities, and usually picking the one that's funnier to him, like when deciding whether to save Bruce or let him die based on which option was the most ironic. External situations stimulate him to think about the possibilities, this is shown often when a Ni user like Theo Galavan was sharing his plan, you can literally tell by his face he's zoning out thinking about the what-ifs, showing the typical striving for the exploration of possibilities present in Ne doms. In the Russian roulette scene, Jerome sporadically moves from one idea to another, as seen in how he quickly shifts from a playful moment to a serious moment to a playful one again. While the other members of the maniax simply complete the missions they are given, the one who always added quirky acts and jokes it's him. Jerome doesn't use Te at all. He doesn't care about fact objectiveness, rather using Ti to justify his actions because that's simply what makes sense to him. He finds the systems and patterns of how things work, meaning he's more interested in the ideas behind the facts instead of the facts themselves. For instance, in Arkham, he's quick to identify the roles other inmates played and figured how to use them to his advantage. His Fe gives him charisma, which makes him a successful leader. Also makes him a great manipulator, since he understands social norms and societal expectations. When he wants something out of someone, he always puts up an act first (typical Fe user social camouflage). He doesn't care about being true to himself or following an inner moral compass, instead, he takes advantage of external moral consensus. Take for instance when he approached Barbara for the first time. He starts with a polite introduction and when that fails, he tries to find common ground in the fact they both killed their parents "Liberating, right?". Though when that doesn't work either he quickly drops the act and instead imagines what she was going to have trouble with and offers solutions to get her on his side. Again, he's quick to form successful alliances because he does really well socially, establishing bridges between him and his allies with Ne-Ti-Fe. I think Ti shows with the analysis of Jeremiah's behavioral patterns too, copying them, and using this act to deceive Gordon and Lee on his first appearance. Also, the way he approached Jeremiah was unhealthy Fe. He saw Jeremiah's insanity and, in his twisted affection, wanted Jeremiah to embrace it. Jerome thought that if Jeremiah was exposed to a situation similar to his, he would realize he was insane as well. That's Fe/Ti axis idea that concepts are universally accessible to everyone, and so, if anyone follows logical reasoning, they'd end up reaching the same conclusion. Obviously, Jerome's Si is inferior. Dude's literally an anarchist who doesn't care about organized crime and dislikes authority and rejects systems in general, thriving in chaos instead. He still cares about his past though (or rather, the impressions he got from it), an indicator of this being his obsession with finding Jeremiah and killing the members of his family who abused him. Highly doubt he'd be an ESTP because Ni inferior simply doesn't make any sense for him, who's essentially a schemer.
背景
Jerome is a nihilistic anarchist, sharing many similarities with the Joker. When Monaghan was cast as Jerome in "The Blind Fortune Teller", he avoided drawing inspiration from the actors who had played the Joker throughout the various Batman films. However, he did take inspiration from Mark Hamill's voice performance, in addition to reading as many comics featuring the character as he could to prepare for the role. After breaking him out of Arkham, Theo Galavan served as a mentor and father figure to Jerome, shaping his viewpoint of the world as a performance stage for evil. This stopped Jerome from limiting himself to smaller-scale acts of crime. A recurring theme on the show is how the Joker's ideology acts like a virus that can be spread through multiple characters, which executive producer Danny Cannon describes as "the opposite of Bruce Wayne, somebody who just wants to destroy... that could be anyone."
