This movie flips the evil Eight (Esmeralda, she sung one of the heartwarming and heartwrenching songs in Disney for goodness sake, more like in the lines of "I can take care of myself, don't you worry." and "You're no different from the people who are being ostracized, God. Please give a damn about them. I can only do so much to help them stand on their own feet.") and the goody-good One (Frollo, he sung what is probably the darkest song Disney ever composed, particularly their holier-than-thou and hypocritical attitude) stereotype. And as always, the Nine (Quasimodo) is in between them. This movie is basically what happens when members of the Gut triad are pushed for the better or for the worse.
背景
Esmeralda is the deuteragonist of Disney's 1996 animated feature film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She is a young Romani woman (referred to as a 'Gypsy' by many), who dwells within the streets of Paris. Esmeralda is an outspoken humanitarian, which drives her to protect the deformed bell-ringer, Quasimodo, from his oppressors—namely Claude Frollo. This act of mercy, coupled with her beauty and cultural background, makes Esmeralda the main target of Frollo's wrath.
