I'm in agreement with the INFJ consensus. Ririchiyo is a great portrayal of an INFJ with a tertiary Ti defense mechanism as described by Lenore Thomson in her book on the cognitive functions called "Personality Type". Due to the nature of dominant Ni, INFJs need a sense of direction in their lives, often idealizing themselves to live for a greater purpose. When an INFJ feels they don't have sense of direction or purpose in life, they fall into the indulgence of their lower functions and use them in an unhealthy manner. Knowing the backstory of Ririchiyo, this notion certainly applies to her. She uses her own subjective understandings and frameworks of the world to justify isolating herself from the overall social environment she has observed.
