I saw some people voting 9w8, but I can't really see it. Lorde has always valued being herself authentically more than keeping the peace. Especially when she was younger, she would call out half of the industry by name and say what she thought was wrong about them or their music, multiple times about how superficial and opulent it was. It could cost her career but she didn't seem to care about it, or to be in good terms with other artists and have a good image (she actually rejected the "perfect image" of some artists). She isn't afraid to speak her mind and she is also constantly saying she just writes what's real to her. I agree with the 4w5 votes.
