背景
Winter Melon is a recurring plant character within the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. Like Melon-pult, he lobs watermelons that deal massive damage to zombies, along with splash damage that can avoid zombie shields. Unlike Melon-pult however, his watermelons also chill zombies, making them slower. Almanac entries depict Winter Melon as rather worrisome, particularly in regards to the numerous zombie attacks that occur throughout the series and the safety of both his life and others. Winter Melon is also shown to be an accomplished vocalist, doing voice work for multiple ice-themed documentaries. Like Melon-pult, Winter Melon's shape and projectile is based on the fruit of the watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), a type of melon from Africa.
