Cited from @[deleted-user#262933]: So, first of all, let me breakdown stereotypes that people trying to catapult here since they really did this site for any NT characters so badly. From typing Oreki Houtarou as a 9 due to being reserved despite having a clear 5 core's trait structure or Yu Ishigami, who unfortunately, is being typed as a 9 core for having the fear of separation while he is a clear 6 core to me or any INTPs as a 5 core due to being knowledgeable. Makes sense, doesn't it? There were a sort of occams razor have been going on since the last time I visited this site and it's been pretty sickening to see it coming altogether. To elaborate, let's read the description, shall we? "Yuu seems to have an unrealistic and romanticized view of love, drawn from songs and shoujo manga. She expects that feelings of love should be perfect and overwhelming, and when she does not experience this, she comes to the conclusion that she is incapable of falling in love with anyone. Even as things progress further with Touko, Yuu continues to deny to herself that her own developing feelings are those of love." So, does it sound familiar? Let's read the description of an Enneagram core right below. "“All manifestations of love—marital, parental, filial, and even close friendship—are a drain on her reserves of energy and an obstacle to her need for a certain amount of privacy and independence.” She quotes Kent as remarking of them “love does not go forth into affection.” And comments “love is not absent, but the manifestation of love is benumbed and cannot be expressed.” She further quotes Hering as finding Sepia people “averse to company” and elaborates: “she does not want to go out, largely because of the physical effort which sociability demands.” The dominant feeling is one of indifference—the wish of wanting to “crawl into her lair and be left alone, not touched, approached or bothered.” Thus there is not only an emotional unresponsiveness but a seeking to escape from close emotional ties and obligations. The wish to emancipate herself from the “burden of love” may be expressed in personality or a profession." Next, SX 5 description. "The typically cool, analytical Five connects to passion in this subtype, focusing that passion on one or two people in an otherwise reserved life. They experience strong ‘chemistry’ with another person, enjoying the connection and trust and openness this permits. They risk depending on this other person to make them feel vibrant and alive, leading them to ‘test’ their partner’s loyalty or resist sharing them with others."

背景

Yuu seems to have an unrealistic and romanticized view of love, drawn from songs and shoujo manga. She expects that feelings of love should be perfect and overwhelming, and when she does not experience this, she comes to the conclusion that she is incapable of falling in love with anyone. Even as things progress further with Touko, Yuu continues to deny to herself that her own developing feelings are those of love. She doesn't seem to be very emotionally invested in anything she does. Usually, she is laid back, relaxed and unbothered by things, even when they go wrong. However, one of the exceptions to this is her relationship to Touko, which is one of the only things that can cause her to get worked up. After a heart to heart talk with Touko confessions of their love for each other, Yuu stops romanticizing love and manages to make one of the most important decisions of her life, becoming lovers.
