Super nice and down to earth guy! I worked as a stand-in on the recent Spiderwick Chronicles reboot series and he introduced himself to me. I was literally only working that show because the regular stand-in for the lead actor (Lyon Daniels) was sick for a week or something so I was his back-up. I'd just watched Heathers for the first time a few days before and had no idea Christian Slater was even on the show. The first day I showed up to set, he wasn't in any of my scenes so I was completely caught off guard when he casually walked into the room we were in and he introduced himself to me because I was new on the show. I was super honoured because big-time principal actors don't usually talk to stand-ins or background actors.

Christian Michael Leonard Slater (born August 18, 1969) is an American actor, voice actor and producer. He made his film debut with a leading role in The Legend of Billie Jean (1985) and gained wider recognition for his breakthrough role as Jason “J.D.” Dean, a sociopathic high school student, in the satire Heathers (1988). In the 1990s, Slater starred in many big budget films, including Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), Interview with the Vampire (1994), FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), Broken Arrow (1996), and Hard Rain (1998) as well as cult films like Pump Up the Volume (1990) and True Romance (1992).
