ESFP is an easy answer but I do not actually see much Se in Rex - nor do I see Fi for that matter. He's not in the salvaging business for the adventure and adrenaline, nor does he start his actual adventure for that reason. He is also not guided by his own ideals and wants as much as by his desire to do good for others. If anything, I think he is ESFJ. Fe dom shows itself in his innate compassion for other people and concern for the fate of Alrest whereas Si aux comes with his attachment to financial security and his home and him honoring the Salvager's Code that he oft quotes (actually, also Fe collective moral).
