Aelin is an 8 and not a 7 purely because of how she grew up and how she copes now. 7s are very spur of the moment, must always stay moving to avoid being upset, can never stick to a schedule, and is the type of person to go on late night car rides to clear their head. Aelin was arguably like this at the beginning of the book series but she shows more 8 traits overall in my opinion. 8s grew up in unsafe spaces (physically or emotionally) that forced them into putting up barriers to keep themselves safe. They fight back against any help because they think that they are too strong for it. They are always the ones fighting for the underdog and intensely stubborn. Aelin's backstory was very rough and she was always willing to sacrfice herself for the people she cared about. When 8s are healthy they show the traits of a type 2. Type 2s are self sacrificing, caring, patient, empathetic, etc. As the series progresses you can kind of see her grow from an unhealthy 8 to an healthy 8. Also, I chose a 9 wing because it is the mama bear combo.
