In full seriousness he's just your cheesy old cop dad who has formed a reliance on knowledge-gathering to survive (5w6). He doesn't let anything go past him, hates people withholding information and will get extremely nosy in dialogue. The way he gathers his knowledge is very Te, same with his literalness and blunter style of communication. Piss him off and he's short and sharp with you. His humor is very inferior Ne-styled. Just because he has a smooth style of talking and an affinity for sayings doesn't make him Ne dom. He's a classic introvert, cold enough to get the job done (Te, 5) but guides himself with his hidden heart of gold (tert Fi). He's old enough to have learned an Fe mask but he very obviously has Fi in his actual valued stack, as the one final thing that backs up all his logical decisions (classic child function role). Si to the max - An ENTP or ENFP couldn't live with themselves doing the same shit for over a HUNDRED YEARS STRAIGHT.
