I thought he was an INFP, but rewatching the anime, I think he is an INFJ. Specially for the fact he let Akazawa and Takako hear the tape when he promised Kouichi, Mei and Naoya the tape it wouldn't be heard by others. I'm not saying he is bad, I think he thought it would be better for the group that Akazawa (head of countermeasures) get to know the only solution to get rid of the curse and therefore, save the group. But I guess an INFP would be more attached to its promise in these kind of cases.
