Millwrights or industrial mechanics are skilled tradespeople tasked with the installation, repair and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment of locations such as factories, nuclear plants or any other sort of industrial manufactory, plant or site. Millwrights are expected to be mechanically apt and be able to use a variety of tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Millwrights should also have good mathematical aptitude, be able to read blueprints and schematics and may possibly engage in welding and related applications (oxyacetylene torch or plasma cutting)
