(outdated comment) (1 / 4) Of what we've seen of Jamil so far, his most prominent character trait is his anti-obviousness. Regardless of what caused him to be this way, he has a strong aversion to standing out and being made obvious to others. He obsessively tries to blend in, obscure himself, keep his hands clean, goals hidden, and even though he has ambition and desires recognition for his skill, he is not naturally comfortable as the center of attention or with putting himself out there when he is in a normal mental state. He only accepts the spotlight very tentatively because he is not naturally inclined to it. To say anything about his typology is immediately obvious without any explanation is very silly when considering this single core aspect of his personality. He is not an "obvious ENTJ"; Jamil is a subtle character within a complex life situation. He is not easy to understand, even with all current information that we have on him. I'm mostly going to discuss my thoughts on his enneagram here. I'll only touch on other systems if they can potentially correlate to my argument in some way. He's my favorite TWST character, so I very much want to get him right, I'm still thinking about his other types because, again, he's hard to really understand well. This is all in service of helping me understand him better. — COGNITIVE INTROVERSION VS EXTROVERSION: While cognitive extroverts can by all means be socially introverted, I don't see dominant cognitive extroversion in Jamil. Cognitive introversion is defined by an instinctively reflective nature when it comes to stimuli. Cognitive extroverts are naturally action-first, quick to decide, and externally engaged. Jamil is very deliberate, thoughtful, and not an action-first type of person. He prefers a very patient process; to be in the background, touching base with his own perception and outlook on whatever he's dealing with, seeking subjective thought before objective action. He only takes quick action when he has no choice, and he's often rather distressed by having to do so. This is a strong tell for dominant cognitive introversion. If the argument is that "he's too busy to not be a Te dom," I would point out that he's so busy because he's been raised since birth to be that way, due to his job as a personal servant and bodyguard and the heavy influence that his parents have over him. Jamil laments many, many times that he dislikes how busy he is, and that he strongly desires more time alone to decompress, think, experience the world at his own pace, etc, because an overactive environment is something that causes him a lot of stress. An E3 Te dom—which is the current consensus—naturally prefers to be busy (sp3 in particular is described as "the most workaholic" 3 subtype). Jamil is highly efficient and good at doing what he does, but as far as I understand, he does not really enjoy his incredibly busy life. Again, this tells me that he is a cognitive introvert forced into overusing his extroverted functions in order to fulfill societal expectations, which is one reason why he overblotted in the first place.
