such a sweet character. (slight spoilers). Si is very obviously her dominant function. she has the stereotypical trait of Si in being close to her culture, family, and home. she is also very organized and structured shown in her ability as an assistant editor in chief. the entire show is an example of this. betty is a people pleaser which points to her auxiliary Fe. she finds it hard to say “no” (shown in her struggle to break up with walter). she will avoid the issue because she can’t confront other people. for a while, she lets amanda, marc, daniel and etc push her around. once she and daniel are friends, she is always there to help him. when daniel and sofia break up, betty makes it her mission to cheer him up to bring his confidence back. christina literally tells her that she is not his therapist and she doesn’t need to do that for him. but betty’s Fe can’t stop her from wanting to help daniel regain his confidence and self-esteem. betty causes lots of conflict with her inferior Ne. it makes her very indecisive and wish-washy. one minute, she wants to be with walter and the next, she is questioning if she really loves him. she avoids him for multiple episodes because she doesn’t know what she really wants (also points to weak and un-valued Ni/Fi). then she is extremely indecisive if she wants to be with henry or stay with walter. if she stays with walter she would be giving in to her dominant Si. betty admits that walter is the only one she has ever been with and she is very comfortable with their relationship. but her inferior Ne pushes her to explore a new and exciting relationship with henry. betty can either stay with walter (dom Si) or try to find love with henry (inf Ne).
