Ewan is able to read Logan's intentions, which I think is more of an indicator of Ni than Si. The life he chose to live, unlike his brother, seems to be more philosophically-oriented and not as achieving-oriented as Logan's. Logan's an ENTJ, and I can picture their childhood and their relation with one another being quite rocky due to the opposite uses of Ni when it meets Logan's control over his own system (high Te) next to Ewan's personal values and genuine care for others (Fe).
