It’s been like, 4 or 5 years since I read Carry On and I do need to read sequels. However, I wanted to suggest the idea of Baz being sx5 instead of sx4. I’ll read the books in the near future just to kind of double check, so I’ll refrain from voting his enneagram type (he’s no doubt INTJ tho ngl). I also saw him as more 1>8 but again, I’ll check before voting. However I do want to post some very good descriptions of both sx5 and sx4 in case he does happen to be one or the other, there’s an example as to why he’s either. Descriptions from indepth_mbti on instagram. SX5 “The sexual 5 focuses on looking for an idealized chosen one. They take the ultimate risk of depending on this other person to make them feel alive through meeting their high ideal of love and connection. The SX5 - as the countertype - embodies an avarice for chemistry with a chosen one: they seek a unique connection and trust. This is how the analytical E5 connects to passion. SX5 has a desire for utopian concepts and searches for a real exemplar of absolute love. This "confidence" being expressed as the search for a partner who fulfills an ideal of a mystical union that rescues the SX5 from loneliness. The SX5 is an E5 with a romantic streak, being the most emotionally sensitive of E5. They have a vibrant inner life that may never be expressed, being still cut off from others in many ways and appearing to be cold. May look like E4.” SX4 “The sexual 4 focus on making others pay their suffering as an unconscious way of trying to rid themselves of their sense of inferiority. They project their suffering onto others, defending themselves of their negative feelings. The SX4 expresses more their needs and is demanding of others, denying their suffering and being more shameless than shameful. They seek to be the best in what they do, covering their envy with competition; unconsciously turning their pain into feelings of anger about not getting what they want. The SX4 is the most intense and vocal. They demand that others appreciate their needs, which lead them to a cycle of rejection, frustration and anger. Their desire to express these feelings of demand and anger are actually a mask covering sadness and confusion. This subtype may look like E8 or E3.”
