i don’t really see evidence of him “withdrawing from social circles” etc. since this card has a unique background color in the RWS which literally NO other card has. the symbolism of the hermit doesn’t connect to any other card- not even the long beard appears on any other person!!! therefore i can’t see fe. my credentials are i’ve been reading tarot for 8yrs and use a classic RWS at least 80% of the time. the hermit is also tough to nail bc he’s hemmed between wheel of fortune & either strength or justice depending on tradition. strength makes more sense to me but idk, i dont really fully grasp the sequencing of the archetypal cards.
