Sunny Deol (born 19 October 1956), is an Indian actor, film director, producer, politician and incumbent Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur. As an actor, he has had a career spanning over four decades and is particularly known for his roles in the action genre. Deol made his acting debut in Betaab (1983), and went onto achieve superstardom in the 1990s with back to back blockbuster films. His dialogues like "Dhai Kilo Ka Haath" and "Tareekh Pe Tareekh" are iconic and have become pop culture references. He is the son of legendary Indian actor Dharmendra, and brother of actor Bobby Deol. Deol has won numerous awards including two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards.
