This Luffy differs slightly from original Luffy. Cognitive functions are like a color palette, and sometimes the "colors" of our functions are like a gradient, with some aspects of other functions mixed in. I've always seen Luffy (manga/anime) showing many aspects of Se and Ne, but leaning more towards Se. This Luffy (live action) also shows aspects of Se and Ne, but this one leans more towards Ne. 🔴Luffy from the manga/anime has a dream, but he's not a dreamer. 🟡Luffy from live action doesn't merely have a dream, he's a dreamer. He sees the pirate's life not merely as an opportunity for sensory experiences and adrenaline, but as a life of discovery, of braving the "unknown horizon", of seeing a new world unlike anything he has ever seen. He has a keen nose for promising conditions (as Jung describes Ne doms). 🔴Luffy from the manga/anime shows little/no patience for small talk, he only develops a greater interest in someone if that person spontaneously shows his dreams and desires. He hardly cares about knowing the history of a place or someone's background, he is more practical and pays more attention to actions and attitudes. 🟡Luffy from live action is much more talkative and conversational, trying to understand from others their true dreams and intentions, and motivating them to pursue them, like a true idealist and an unabashed stereotype of ENFP. He actively cares to know more deeply about a person's thoughts and history, to have a deeper connection with them. This Luffy is the real ENFP Luffy.
