He believed that when examining a work of art, the viewer should always create some sort of "distance" between them and the art and not let themselves get distracted by external stimulus, cause that's the only way to have a fuller sensory impression of the art. He also argued that the imagination and emotional capacity of the viewer plays a very important role in the way art is understood. All this sounds very Si-Ne to me.
