the plot of the movie was entirely written on the fact that michael didn't want to spend time on his life doing things and always wanted to go straight to the final result. that's an extremely anti-Ti behavior considering that the Ti function is process oriented, it wouldn't make sense for a Ti dom to ignore the analytical parts of life and not try to learn nothing about that. i think it would make more sense to type him as an ENTJ LIE, Te in both systems is characterized by it's result oriented and pragmatism nature, which it's pretty visible on his behavior throughout the movie.
