Sometimes, pretending to have perished can actually be a really good way of "starting your life" over, especially if you are trying to tame your Si demon in some way. Because on one hand, the people hearing about your "death" would begin to think of you less and less which could make the memories of the previous "you" gradually sink into the void, and on the other hand, you would be able to carry on and much less experience the hidden past biting into your conscience. Although... since the Demon function of ENTJs is actually Fe, one could also argue that faking death counts as one of the possible attempts to come up with an entirely new social identity and to develop a different reputation amongst people.
