I remember from the book what he said about himself, that he would never be doing the leadership stuff he ended up doing, if his brother wasn't dead. It didn't just mean he would not get the position, it meant he wouldn't even want to be a leader, he preferred to be left to his books, that was his nature. But when his brother died, Laurent dedicated himself to practicing the skills of a fighter, as killing his brother's killer was his goal. From the book we know he studied even the smallest things meticulously, because he knew what move to make in the last important fight (I don't want to spoil), and it was a rather small detail. He had a strong personality, but it came from 1's dedication, not 8's confidence and desire for dominance. He could of course be assertive, confident, confrontational and so on, when he needed to be, but that's not what's creates his personality. Damianos pointed out so many times that Lauren't self control ability was impossible in his mind. Self control is the main thing of enneagram 1, besides as I mentioned before Laurent said himself that the dedication to kill his brother's killer stands behind his personality. Both 1's and 8's are action-oriented and have strong notions of how to do things, so it's possible to mistake one for another, but in this case Lauren seems to be a 1. 8 is usually the enneagram of extroverted types, and INTJ 8w9 is pretty unusual... as in it most likely doesn't exist, but there are quite a few of INTJs with the 1w9 enneagram.
背景
Laurent is the deuteragonist of the Captive Prince trilogy and Crown Prince of Vere and Acquitart. He is the son of King Aleron and Queen Hennike, and younger brother of the late Crown Prince Auguste of Vere. After the deaths of his parents and brother when Laurent was thirteen, his uncle, the Regent, and the Veretian Council take stewardship of Vere until Laurent reaches maturity at age twenty-one. Laurent receives Damen as a pleasure slave gifted from Kastor of Akielos.
