I get that he cares a lot about the way he is perceived by others, and it is important for him to maintain a good image, but I can't see core 3. His entire character is based around him wanting to maintain a positive mentality, repressing negative emotions, and wanting to be satisfied with himself. 7s core motivation is to avoid pain and suffering, and their core fear is, to be in pain and suffering, and I think this is very well represented by his famous quote "if i keep my body moving, and my mind occupied at all times, I will avoid falling into a bottomless pit of despair".
