Louis Alfred Székely (born September 12, 1967), known professionally as Louis C.K., is an American stand-up comedian, screenwriter, actor and filmmaker known for his no-holds-barred, off-color style of comedy, often consisting of brutally honest observations about life and himself. C.K. created the series Lucky Louie, Louie and Horace and Pete, starring in all three, and additionally co-created Better Things. Aside from his stand-up and television work, he also played supporting roles in numerous films, most notably American Hustle and Blue Jasmine.
