Enneagram 4 doesn't fit Vincent as his core type. It is important to note that 4w3 and 7w6 are often mistaken for each other. I will explore some key differences here and explain my reasoning. 4w3: - A type that wants to have an image of being misunderstood. - Fixated on melancholy+vanity. - A reactive type. 7w6: - A type that wants to freedom. - Fixated on planning+cowardice. - A positive outlook type. Vincent's goal is to be free “we just want to be free!” (episode 51). He is always planning and fixates on his cowardice rather than melancholy or vanity. Vincent became delusional to maintain his positive outlook, believing Bo or Anita would save him. He did not lose hope and put his faith in those he believed were uncorrupt outsiders. When that plan failed he didn't lose motivation despite losing himself, instead he confidently chose a new path without experiencing self doubts. Does that really sound like e4? My argument for 7w6 > 7w8 is not very strong or conclusive, Vincent potentially has more balanced wings. I believe he fits 7w6 slightly better. Below is my reasoning: All sevens are thrill seekers, however 7w6 will fantasize and seek more mind escapist activities such as daydreaming and playing video games. We know Vincent does both of these things but he isn't limited to safe activities. While 7w8 are more independent, 7w6 are more cooperative and hesitant to challenge authority. Having a 6 wing clashes with seven's independent nature. Sevens don’t want anyone telling them what to do, yet the 6 wing pulls them towards strong people and gaining security from authority. We see this with Vincent's attachment to Bo. While 7w8 are more aggressive in conflicts, 7w6 will seek passive solutions first. Vincent's very first solution was running away from home (episode 60). Compared to 7w8, 7w6 are described as more nervous, careful, timid, dreamy, idealistic, agreeable, lighthearted, family oriented, loyal, people focused, and expressive of negative emotions. Unfortunately 7w6 fits Vincent better than 7w8 in my opinion.
