It seems everyone on this page is under the impression that Saki is an obvious Fe dom and social 9 however I believe this is misguided and thus will be arguing that she is in fact ENFP and sx7. So9 is understandable considering her group focus and desire for belonging, plus an apparent disconnection from her wants. However I do not believe self forgetting is at the core of her character. While I agree so7 Saki was misguided, Saki is indeed driven by a constant gluttony for new ideas, new experiences and fantasy. These are ideas central to the E7 as a whole rather than that of E9. Throughout her painful time in the hospital disconnected from others, it was hope for future possibilities that kept her going, kept her distracted from her pain, emptiness and isolation. A constant looking forward to what she could do in the future with her friends, it is turning to fantasies of what COULD be that ultimately is her central coping mechanism, not losing herself within others. This is reinforced by Tsukasa’s role in keeping her happy, showing her fantastical and eccentric plays, displaying Saki’s preference for fantasy and how it keeps her going, as this was clearly done to appeal to her preferences. The sexual 7s tendency to prefer to view life through rose tinted glasses, turning to fantastical ideals, plans and experiences, this constant consumption is what defines its gluttony. Furthermore, a quote from Naranjo’s individual book on 7s ‘Gluttons, tricksters, dreamers and charlatans’ should clear up the similarities to so9: >“The sexual E7 experiences a longing for connection, which is channeled through its passion of gluttony to create a character whose bright and colourful world of possibilities is realised in the intimate sphere” Implying the way the Saki’s gluttony is directed towards fueling her close relations with her friends, often pulling them along with her plans to satisfy her longing for the new and for friendship and closeness. This is expressed similarly in other sx7s in pjsekai such as Emu who are also fulfilled by the participation of her friends in her crazy plans. This also links to the reason I believe she is neither Fe dom nor so9, as her need is not to adapt to the group but to have the people she personally treasures so much accompany her desires. There is a clear lack of Fe in for example the scenes where is pushing Shiho, who clearly states she isnt interested and just wants to do her own thing on her own, into her fun ideas. Sakis’ unrelenting gluttonous pursuit of experiences is pushed onto those around her as the sx instinct demands, which strongly contrasts the self abdication of the so9. Driven by the passion of sloth, to forget itself and its desires, the E9 is highly unlike saki, a character entirely driven by her own desires, that just so happen to be regarding her friends. Why would a 9, who is also characterised by their sense of being undeserving and irrelevant, drag their friend who expresses disinterest in their own plans, without adapting whatsoever? Now people have brought up points about her not displaying the intellectuality of a head core or 7, however my question in return is why these same people believe Emu and Minori to be sx7 as well when neither display these traits either. I believe it is perfectly reasonable to overlook details like this as she still fits the overall core ideas of the type. Furthermore, I wont explain in as much detail since my sx7 argument also doubles as one for Ne dom, but it is clear that Saki is not guided primarily by external feeling norms and an adaption of feeling to achieve feeling responses from others, but rather by a constant seeking of intuitive possibilities in the future. I believe the sensing aux voting is also strange as Saki is never shown to find much comfort in the sensations of the current moment and is rather consistently anticipating what could be, hence a clear preference for intuition. She was looking forward enjoying high school life and reuniting with old friends, but finds that things have become... complicated.
