背景
A character whose main gameplan involves zoning their opponent to death. Zoners will have some powerful method of attacking from long range, whether it's a projectile or some far-reaching normals, and they'll often have a strong way to move backwards. Examples include Dhalsim from Street Fighter, Axl from Guilty Gear, and Morrigan from Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Even though they are stronger from long range, most zoners will not be helpless up close! They can rush you down, at least a little bit, if they're forced to play at close range. But it won't be their first choice, and they'll probably back up as soon as they can.
