He takes the real world and breaks down the information and people he deals with into superficial abstract things he can better manipulate. Obvious snaps into inferior Se function for pleasure and flight or flight. When it's already too late his inferior Se has just told him of it i.e. his death and when he's lost he doesn't grasp the fact.
