the ******* community is cancer and not at all left wing, in fact, full of toxic right wing engineering and cs students who are curve veterans. the students are libertarian and snobbish (esp grad students). it's the surrounding city that's leftist. the most extreme I've seen are the DSA and one Marxist Leninist Maoist (or maybe Trot) group that thinks the USSR was state capitalism.
