All the ENFJ voters have good arguments and most of the ENTP voters don't, so lets change that. Ne: Ne, the dominant function of ENTP, is actually pretty visible in this song. The line, "I feed and water an idea so I let it grow", is the most Ne line in the song. A common characteristic of Ne is exploring ideas and acting "head in the clouds". Another line that is very Ne is "Lay still, restless / Losing sleep while I lose my mind". Ne has a certain restlessness and hyperactivity to it. In this line, the singer describes being kept awake and restless because of all the thoughts in their head. Ne's are very on-the-go and don't like sitting still. This is because they see potential in so many different things and to focus on one thing is counter intuitive for them. "Stayin' still, eyes closed / Let the world just pass me by" shows that the singer wants to experience the most that life has to offer and "pass [them] by". Ti: Ti is the auxiliary function of ENTP, and has a lot of lines in this song as well. Ti is characterized as being independent, objective, and prefers to let facts speak for themselves. One of the lines that proves this is, "They tell me, 'Jesus walks,' I tell them 'Money talks.'" The Ti in this line prefers to let the facts speak for itself that money is a driving factor in success, more than kindness (or so the singer believes). It's very blunt and direct, in true Ti fashion. Another lyric that demonstrates this is, " The haters wanna hurt me and I'm laughing at the pain". The singer is a target of hate, but prefers to laugh it off and not dwell on it. They are quite independent, like Ti, and their decisions aren't affected by outside input. The final line that helps this is, "Do you feel me? Take a look inside my brain." Ti users rely on logic and their brains more than their gut or heart, and the only way to really know them is to learn how they think. Fe: Fe is the tertiary function of ENTP. It also happens to be the main function of ENFJ, and does have quite a few lines in this song. The first line is, "They tell me 'I'm so humble,' I say, 'I'm turning red'". Fe is characterized as wanting to fit in, being harmonious, and Fe users are often quite humble as a result of this. This lyric is practically the textbook definition of humble and down to earth. Another line is, "...but I would be lost without their love". Even though the singer does brag a lot (which contradicts my earlier point, I will explain later), they rely on the approval of others deep down. This is why Fe is a tertiary function, since ENTPs prefer to hide the fact that they crave validation and prefer to use their Ti. The final lyric is, "Is there a real me? Pop the champagne". Fe users have a tendency to change and adapt to mimic the people they are around, which is exactly what this lyric tells. Si: Si is the inferior function of ENTP, and is very unused. But to make this a proper analysis, it's best to cover all of the four main functions. Si is characterized as being very practical, and doesn't like change unless it must happen. As an inferior function, this could leave ENTPs a bit uncomfortable with sudden change at first, though they eventually accept it. The major line that fits this description is, "Six-feet off the ground at all times, I think I'm feeling odd". The singer describes having a new wave of attention and isn't quite used to it. Another lyric is, "They give so much to me, I'm losing touch, get me?" They are starting to lose their ground from the real world and their experiences now are much different from their previous experiences, which is causing them to lose touch. This also supports Ne since Ne often loses touch with reality and gets lost in thoughts of the hypothetical. Combined: Ne is dominant, instead of Fe. While some of the lines may make the singer appear down-to-earth, that can be interpreted as a facade since the singer feels that they must appear humble in order to keep this attention. This shows Ne since Ne users tend to be roundabout with what they want, and the singer uses a facade to retain their attention. Fe is mostly faked to keep what they want, which is attention and approval. While some lines are genuine, others are not. Fe cannot be dominant since it is overshadowed with Ti, which is proven by tending to go with what they want versus what others want. Ne ties into this, with the sharp and quick-witted remarks that the singer constantly makes to their haters. All in all, this song is an ENTP at heart. Feel free to argue if you wish, I'm open to a friendly discussion.
