Manacled Hermione is an INFJ who is deeply strategic and is a value-driven survivor. She uses logic as main tool, but it is not her core identity. Her decisions are shaped by internal ethics, but executed with precision and self-denial. Her sacrifices are always for others (Draco, the resistance, their future too), her grief is communal (a very Fe function). You have to remember that her emotional depth is staggering — her grief, empathy, trauma, and love for others (especially Draco and Harry) potentially drive her actions. She sacrifices herself for others, fights for causes, and endures psychological torment to protect people, not exactly for her own established plans. You do realize that even Draco acknowledges her martyr complex (or “Grffindor Hero Complex”as he likes to mention) due to the fact that she puts others first, even when it destroys her. Futhermore, INTJs tend to dismiss emotion while INFJs feel deeply, but guard expression. You may see that she often cries a lot and feels devastated after being rendered as someone inconsiderate/ ruthless (for suggesting and insisting the Order to use dark magic), and being left aside (as she is a healer and not an "active" fighter of the Order). INTJs wouldn't be deeply wounded by that. Apart from that, note that in the flashbacks, there was this sentence: "She was too desperate for verbal affirmation. To have someone tell her that she was clever, to reassure herself of her value with grades and praise". THIS proves she seeks external emotional validation and connection. Fe users are more attuned to what others think and feel about them — and more likely to crave affirmation and reassurance. She is attuned accurately of what Moody, Kingley, Snape regard her as, and she constantly overthinks about it. Another one: "Hermione had always thought that she could do anything for her friends. Anything to protect them......all things she had done had left her all alone until she felt as though she was dying of a broken heart". It is mostly the INFJs who feel that way even though they don’t typically show much affection. INFJs are also adept at seeing through someone. Hermione sees through Draco, not just at him. She falls in love with him not "despite his damage", but because she understands it You all seem to analyze her personality only based on the surface: her trauma, her constant arguing with Harry, her strategies, her low temperament with people when she's had enough, her determination and courage. But you are not diving further into her profound motivations and sensitivity. She's not a cold strategist or cold general like the INTJ could be. She shows strategic thinking, but her motivations are more emotion-based. She’s an empathic visionary weighed down by her soul.
