What personality type is Ranni the Witch? Ranni the Witch is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 584 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
I think comparing Ranni to an actual indisputed INFJ in this game, Fia, support her being INTJ rather than INFJ imo. While both have strong Ni as seen with their devotion toward their envisioned future of the world, both have vastly different approach toward their goal. Fia used Fe to approach as many tarnished as possible to work for her (giving her vigor etc.) in round about way. Usually appeal to their kindness or humanism like how she get Rogier and Lionel to work for her. She also asked the player “a favor” to give D the dagger rather than command them outright, and usually reward them with word of gratitude, about how nice a person they are etc. However she hide her thought process and personal belief system about undead equality very well (tertiary Ti) until she killed D. She later only opened up to the player when she was sure they shared the same opinion about undead. Meanwhile Ranni used Te, always used commanding tone toward her underlings and the player and clearly told them about her plan and her goal without hiding anything and speak about her past in a-matter-of-fact way. She never tried to appeal to greater good or inner goodness but used her mark of death as a leverage (objective reward)and evaluated you only at end result, praising that you did a good job as she expected and just that. Her tertiary Fi make her opened up only to few people she trusted like Iji and Blaidd (her childhood friends/caretakers) and the player only if they persisted on following her despite her multiple attempts to shake them off. Seluvius himself even said she was a frail girl hiding her emotion under cold exterior, and if you betrayed her (you bastard) she will be visibly hurt and said she shouldn’t trust anyone etc. Basically; Fia - INFJ - warm and welcoming exterior (auxiliary Fe) hiding knife-sharp cold logic (tertiary Ti) Ranni - INTJ - cold commanding exterior (auxillary Te) hiding soft and fuzzy emotion (tertiary Fi) Of course this doesn’t mean one is superior or morally better than the other, it’s just how they roll. For about Ranni being ENTJ, I think she has too much strong Fi to be inferior with how she truly care about few people she trusted and inferior Se suit her better as she willingly abandoned her flesh, hiding out of the shattering war unlike her siblings and doing her own thing, and was okay with herself and her order “abandon the soil” and “have the certainties of sight, emotion, faith and touch” become impossibility (about the argument that the translation being (apparently) incorrect, she was still clearly fine with that whether it meant only herself/the player or the whole population of land-between). ENTJ with their tertiary Se would prefer more direct confrontation/control and their inferior Fi mean they are out-of-touch with their emotion rather than hide them while being conscious about them.

Ranni the Witch is an NPC in Elden Ring. Ranni the Witch is a mysterious figure who first introduced herself as Renna. Upon meeting her again at Three Sisters, she reveals her true name and recruits you in servitude, setting you off in search of a hidden treasure.
