What personality type is Ellen? Ellen is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sx/so - 458 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
If you read the novel, you'll notice that Ellen has a keen perception of meaningful connections between events in her environment. She takes efficient actions towards her goals (e.g. how she lure victims into the house through manipulation) and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals (to be loved and cured of her illness) even if it means compromising her humanity. Throughout the novel, she draws upon her tertiary Fi to justify her actions: "I killed innocent people, thus evil, and had to be killed. But in my eyes, you're evil. Because you're impeding upon my wish. Aren't you trying to kill me? Then how are you not evil?" She's also extremely insecure about showing emotional vulnerability. Under stress, she tends to react very impulsively (killing her parents, wanting to kill the black cat when she realized she was tricked into making a deal, wanting to destroy everything that isn't in her favour etc)
Biography
The titular witch, and the true protagonist of the game. Ellen lives in a house on the edge of the forest, surrounding by dark legends of kidnapping the children who go into the forest. Having lived alone for centuries, due to being very ill and having killed her own parents in retribution for neglecting her, Ellen made a pact with a demon to become his witch and help him consume souls. After killing hundreds of people for centuries, she befriended Viola, a young girl who came to play with her; effectively getting her first real friend. Her adventure throughout the game takes her through her house as she tries to make an escape from it; avoiding every trap and solving every puzzle to make it out of the house safely, along with her faithful black cat, the aforementioned demon.
