What personality type is Axl Rose? Axl Rose is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sx/so - 874 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
The following argument (for ESTP) is not my own. It is from the very knowledgeable @Berx, taken from his page with a few sentences taken out to be more clear and to add this beginning passage lol. Based on the following video: https://youtu.be/AuMK77g6Hbs "The Michael Pierce model seems like the best tool with which to analyze this passage. This sounds to me like a critique of Fi from the perspective of someone who doesn't understand Fi and doesn't want to. Rose is essentially interpreting Fi as 'wanting to be seen as unique at all costs'. There are several implications here: 1) He thinks that we ALL interpret and evaluate our self-image from the outside in (hint not everyone does) 2) As a result, he thinks no one actually sees themselves as being unique, and if they say so they are being deliberately illogical or dishonest; and 3) He sees Cobain following this pattern, so he must be some kind of sociopath. According to the Pierce model, the higher a function is in one's function stack, the more likely it is that one can understand the function's opposite attitude, even if the tenets of that attitude are ultimately rejected. So, dominant Fe will understand Fi but say, 'This shouldn't be the terminus. We should ultimately draw our subjective ideals out into the objective world where they can interact and fuse with those of other people, creating a greater harmony.' Inferior Fe will say, 'Fi, what's that? I don't even understand myself.' It's actually tertiary Fe, because of its aspirational nature, that will willfully block and reject the tenets of Fi, as if to say, 'I don't understand this and I don't WANT to understand this. It's just f***ing stupid.' (As an INTJ with tertiary Fi, Nietzsche's attitude towards Fe is very similar.) So, my best guess is that this is probably tertiary Fe, or at least non-dominant Fe, combined with a healthy dose of Se (Rose emphasizes the need to engage with as many objects (people) as possible at once)."

W. Axl Rose (born William Bruce Rose Jr.; raised as William Bruce Bailey; born February 6, 1962) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and musician. He is the lead vocalist of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, and has also been the band's sole constant member since its inception in 1985. In addition to Guns N’ Roses, he has been the lead singer of AC/DC since 2016.
