I dislike that people are so quick to label healthy and selfless Fi dominants as Fe users. Her Fi is very prominent throughout the story. Her main focus lies on her identity and her dreams of being a princess. Her regal and socially concious behavior seems to be fueled by Fe, but it is based on her personal interpretation of how a princess would behave. She wants to be kind and compassionate towards others, not because it is necessarily expected of a princess, but because she personally believes a princess should be this way. It are her own values she attaches on the concept of what a princess is and not the other way around. One of her most present traits is her tendency to always stand up for her values, no matter how difficult it may be. ("You know why I will not go home with you, Miss Minchin," she said; "you know quite well." (18.69)) She is firm and certain about her likes and dislikes, never pretending in anyway to approve something she doesn‘t. Her identity and integrity as a princess and her ideal of how to act to others is something she would never compromises for the sake of fitting in or fulfilling her societal role. Instead of internalizing the social expecting she has in reality and adapting to external norms, she creates her own ideals. Her sensitive side is also often hidden under a rather calm and composed exterior, as she isn‘t one to freely share her feelings with others and rather holds her personal sensitivities to herself, which is characteristic of Fi users. Her Ne is also extremly evident. She is a great story teller, because of her ability to see what could be and invent a thousand of different possibilities their story could unfold. She also takes the external world and stories she heard as a child (Si tertiary) as an is privation for her ideas, showing the extroverted nature and outside focus of her intuitive function.
