I do not honestly get someone else saying he is not a Ni-Te user because he is a perfectionist and makes his food like fine art. That seems like a very INxJ description if you ask me. He has a certain ideal in his mind about what food should be, that shows in Ni. He meticulously plans all his food and understands the science around the nutritional properties of each food, which signals Te. I agree the choice of career is influenced by type somewhat where you can see certain types in certain careers more, but it’s not a definite 100% thing. He doesn’t seem like a Se chef who would experiment more through action by exploring different types of food by trial and error. He really seems to be a more intuitive chef who studies different food theories and puts them into action. His tertiary Fi allows for some gentle politeness, but still his politeness comes across as very stiff and distant. He seems to be able to show more of his gentleness through people he is close to — like Rindo. Inferior Se seems to lead to a lot of anxiety about the material form of his plans, such as his worrying tendencies around how the food is prepared. The lack of flexibility from his Ni makes him anxious to a perfectionistic degree, because anything short of the theoretical ideal would be horrible. His inferior Se was manipulated to make him agree to keep the status quo of tradition in the school. His lofty ideals were used to show that he was short of perfection, and could only change if he could ever reach theoretical perfection, which a stronger Se user would tend to see more as an impractical impossibility. 6w5 rather than 4w3, because a judge literally mentioned once that he does not make food to express his own uniqueness. He gathers ingredients, and objectively adjusts to what allows for the best tasting ingredients, rather than going around certain themes. That’s why he is visualized as a loyal knight as metaphor in the show after all.
