What personality type is Hien Rijin? Hien Rijin is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sp - 127 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Still early into Stormblood, but I finished Bardam's Mettle and took a minute to think. I believe he's an ENFJ. When you look into how Hien speaks, it is with a certainty towards the future that points away from low intuitive types. (Ex. The warriors of the steppe WILL help in the liberation of Doma.) In contrast, those with low intuition take on a more negative edge. They typically plan against the future, taking on a defensive approach when it comes to possibilities, or they simply do not like considering the future at all. This leads me to believe he has Ni or Ne in his stack. Now, the reason I advocate for ENFJ is because I think he embodies Fe-Ti in a rather stereotypical manner. He appears highly diplomatic and acts as a representative for his nation as a whole. Not to say he lacks identity ofc, but it is not about his feelings, his wants, and how to achieve them. Instead, he is motivated to follow causes beyond himself, and refuses to act if his people do not support the cause (hence the "sword or my head" statement). This is a big contrast to Lyse who, imo, is a very clear representation of Se-Fi. She has constant battles within herself when people show they no longer desire freedom. For the rest of my argument, I'm simply going upon a gut feeling regarding his Fe being dominant. If I HAD to provide a reason... deciding to stay behind during Doma's failed liberation attempt, despite having no benefit to it, shows recklessness/stubbornness I think more prone to an ENFJ as inferior Ti would lead to problems in considering situations more "objectively." Ofc my views may change, but this is my stance for now.
