What personality type is Szeth? Szeth is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 614 in Enneagram, in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
I'm curious to see why some people are putting him down as an ISTP, because honestly he really doesn't exhibit any of the cognitive functions of ISTPs. Just because somebody is good at fighting that doesn't make them an ISTP. Also, in what world would an ISTP be so obsessed with obeying the rules of their society (Shin society) that they would follow the orders of anybody that carried a stone just because they were told to do so by their leaders. In my opinion, Szeth is a very obvious and unhealthy ISFJ. Even when he is killing people he is constantly talking about how he can hear their pain and the books shows how that drives him insane. He also literally apologized to the first people he killed in The Way of Kings because he felt extreme sorrow for making other people suffer. Because of this I would argue that he is most definitely a heavy Fe-user (Fe auxiliary). And like I mentioned in my previous post, he was obsessed with doing what the people from his society told him to, so he clearly followed the values of the society where he was raised (Si-Fe). He also behaves in stereotypical Si-dominant ways which can be seen even by his joining of the Skybreakers. The Skybreakers order would very obviously be loaded with Si-dominants (ISTJs and ISFJs) based on their values, and how obsessed they are with maintaining justice and order in the world.
