This will be a relatively short argument, so let's get right into it! 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. ♬♪ "𝓨𝓸𝓾'𝓵𝓵 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓮𝓵𝓯, 𝔀𝓸𝓷'𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾?" ✧. ┊ It's easy to want to give Mari an Enneagram. 2w1? 9w1? Those are the generous ones, right? Yes, but the problem arises when typing an Enneagram solely off one's goodness. Enneagram is centered around the idea of innermost sin. There is nothing good about Enneagram because sin contradicts virtue, and virtue is all Headspace Mari is. You know those moments when there's something that seems mostly good but then you wonder, "what's the catch?" Being kind and caring isn't tied with the Enneagram by default because good traits can exist without there being a "catch." Meanwhile in Enneagram, "good traits" are all tied to a self-destructive incentive. Headspace Mari exists to be good. She isn't generous to feed her inflated sense of self-worth (Pride/Ego-Flat), nor is she generous to hinder her human development (Sloth/Ego-In). 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢'𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫. ♬♪ "𝓐𝓵𝓵 𝓲𝓽 𝓬𝓸𝓼𝓽𝓼 𝓲𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮!" ✧. ┊ Mari is actually intended to be flawless in Headspace, so she doesn't really have a "sin" or anything of the sort. Sunny was suppressing all of Mari's flaws because he already perceived her as perfect. If she did have an Enneagram attached, it'd be sp/so E1 (Anger/Ego-Resent) because that was her real-world sin as actual Mari, and not Sunny's conceptualized Mari. Headspace Mari isn't human, but the embodiment of perfection. She does not bear the same "sin" that a human would, and she did have one when she was alive. Probably the most effective evidence that she's supposed to be perfect is in her Switch Exclusive battle, she has the same background as the Hikkikomori Route's Perfectheart, which people speculate establishes Sunny's perception of Mari being perfect. She even heals them all throughout, showing that she's a pacifist. In the Headspace Photo Album, Basil makes no comments about her being self-critical. She's modest, but she still has healthy self-esteem and quickly recognizes what she means to her friends such as when they compliment her. "Awwwww... I guess I have to believe it a little bit if all of you think so!" She doesn't allow herself to get dragged along during activities at the expense of her comfort, like during our first interaction and onward Mari never really joins the others in walking (even if she's otherwise pretty much everywhere.) "Hmm... I think I'll sit this one out. You all go on and enjoy yourselves!" She knows when to raise her voice, showing no repression of her needs, nor narcotizing her needs when Omori persists in running even when she politely asked not to. You could argue this was a real Mari moment, but for the sake of this argument, it could also be interpreted as Headspace Mari as it's ambiguous as to when real Mari entered Headspace if she had at all. "Sorry, OMORI. Can you slow down? You know my knees can't handle it. ⋯ OMORI! What did I just tell you!? Don't make me raise my voice now!" Mari represents a break, a long sigh of relief in areas where healing and saving may be needed.
