What personality type is Odin? Odin is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - so/sp - 583 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
He’s the perfect example of a type 5 villain, that isn’t simply a mad scientist. He’s very hands off and seemingly unconcerned about anything that isn’t related to the mask, at least when it comes to Asgard. He spends the 2 games sending Baldur(2018) and then Thor(Ragnarok) to do all his physical and active work while he holes himself up in his office/cave trying to figure out the crack on his own, until Atreus comes around. The only time he really engages directly with the GoW party are: 1. The beginning when he plants the seed and set his plan in motion talking to Atreus, and all he did was talk (while Thor and Kratos actually fought) 2. Masquerading as Tyr and convincing the party not to take action. He also spends most of his stint doing nothing holed up in a broom closet. Obviously, he was actually back in Asgard but it is kind of hilarious to think his master plan involved him hiding in a room trying to convince others not to go outside. There really is nothing more type 5 than that. 3. The ending when he has no other choice, and even then he stops fighting when he sees a chance to convince Atreus to use mask. His entire motivation is to acquire the ultimate knowledge/truth of the world and every decision he makes is in service to that goal. His pursuit also doesn’t seem to be for particular purpose other than to just know for the sake of knowing, not even for avoiding his own death, but for wanting to know if there was more meaning to his life as a god. “You think war drives me? Or power? Wealth? Naw. Never have. Know what drives me? What I really want? I want answers— same as you” I suppose he is similar to the type 5 mad scientist in that he pursues the truth to satisfy his own curiosity, no matter the cost, to himself or others.

Odin (Old Norse: Óðinn), also known as the Allfather, is the Norse God of the Sky, War, Death, Wisdom, Poetry, and Magic, the King of Asgard, Ruler of Valhalla, the King of the Aesir Gods and a prominent character in the Norse era of God of War. He is the eldest son of Borr, the father of Thor, Týr, Heimdall, and Baldur, grandfather of Magni, Modi and Thrúd, (widowed) husband of Fjörgyn, and the ex-husband of Freya. He is the main antagonist of God of War: Ragnarok.
