What personality type is Vortigern? Vortigern is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sp/so - 415 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
This is my argument for INTJ Vortigern and possibly Oberon Vortigern as a whole after playing through lostbelt 6 Ni: Towards the end of the story we see Vortigern complaining about how much of a pain it was to plan everything out, this is because as he states he wanted to think about all the various variables before making a single move. Vortigern talks in abstract ways such as mentioning Morgan's picture book in some room lines when referring to faerie Britain. This heavy use of abstraction and future orientation leads me to believe he is an Ni dom. Te: Te is mostly seen in how his plans are structured. He doesn't leave much to chance and tries to keep things in order untill they succeed such as erasing Barghest's memories of Adonis to delay her turning into the black dog. Vortigern also mentions "doing his homework" by thoroughly researching history of Britain and such for his plans which is typical of Te users. Fi: This is where the proof of Vortigern being an INTJ shines the most. Vortigern's primary motives can be dissected into two Oberon was fighting for Titania and Vortigern was fighting for his disgust at humanity. These two motives were heavily personal based feelings leading me to believe that it is Fi some may say Oberon used Fe lying and manipulation but Oberon is forced to lie due to the nature of his being therefore he strategically used this to his advantage rather than cry about it which is also why I believe he is tertiary Fi rather than in any other slot. Se: his Vortigern motive of disgust is heavily tied to Se inferior. He is also said to have a heavy bar tab possibly due to se grip causing him to drink although his main reason for drinking must have been for social networking.
