this was such a disturbing movie, especially since it was portrayed in a way that almost influences you to side with humbert or see lo as the villain ??!! i think humbert's widespread use of voice to gain the audience's empathy was very fe-ti. he uses ti to try and validate his actions in his own mind, as shown in how he twists lolita's actions into something overtly flirty or as if she was "asking for it". i think it also displays in how completely unaware he is ?? like, he was so wholly oblivious. it was remarkable that he couldn't have sensed lolita's unhappiness (to put it lightly) or that what he was doing was vile. i honestly don't see any te, i instead feel it was mistaken for his high fe. he used it to manipulate charlotte and eventually lolita, because he had this acute awareness of their desires and how to use them to his benefit. i could see how he could also be seen as an fi user, but personally, i don't see it this way. i think that his desire for lolita doesn't prove he's an fi dom at all lmao, everyone (fi user or not) has values and desires, instead that was more because of his inf se.
