While I can totally see the 2w1 argument,I'd like to make a case for 9w1 Hanayo. Before starting,I am very much open to debate and discussion as long as it is civil!! First of all,I would like to clear out the differences between 9w1 and 2w1,and also the similarities between them. Let us first begin by pointing out the similarities. Both enneagram 9 and enneagram 2 tend to be kind,caring,pleasing people. However,with enneagram what matters is not HOW you act,but WHY you act that way. E2,at their core,do what they do from a place of pride. They are kind and caring to people because it makes them feel important. They are,after all,an image type. They focus on taking care of their image and making themselves needed by the group through excessive acts of service and kindness. E2 act from their passion of pride,and they do so through the fixation of flattery,aka,in order to feel needed and wanted by the group,they focus on flattering others. Meanwhile,E9 do what they do from a place of sloth. This doesn't refer to work sloth,no,it refers to lethargy and a lack of initiative when it comes to doing what they REALLY want to do. E9 are self forgetting people. They focus on what others want rather than what THEY THEMSELVES want. They act the way they do from their passion of sloth,and they do so by self forgetting,by showing laziness when it comes to doing what they want to do. Now,let us take a look at Hanayo. From the very moment she is introduced,we can see she's someone who gets pushed around easily. When Rin tells her "Kayo-Chin,let's go take a look at X!",she just stutters and stammers a bit and struggles to speak her mind. When Hanayo wanted to go to the concert,but Rin wanted to go check out the swimming club,Hanayo didn't complain,rather she obliged,and then when she was finally able to leave,she ran towards the auditorium. This by itself can kinda look like E2 behaviour if you squint,therefore,let us look a bit harder. When Hanayo started showing interest in the idol club,she didn't just walk up to the girls and say "I'd like to join". Instead,she stuck to her routine and her habits and stayed quiet,and she even needed Maki and Rin to literally PUSH HER to actually admit she wanted to join. This is peak E9 performance. Sure,E2s are kind and sweet,however E2s are part of the compliant group,their whole thing is that they MOVE TOWARDS people in order to gain whatever it is that they desire. Hanayo does the opposite,she withdrawns and stays quiet in true E9 fashion because she prefers to stay quiet and get pushed around,rather than speaking up and risking losing her peace. Another thing that to me screams ennea 9 is the way Hanayo has never spoken up about her passion for idols,prefering to keep it to herself. And then,when she finally meets someone who shares her passion,she can't help but let her emotions and her passion out. This is so extremely E9. Hiding your passions and never speaking up about them (Since having strong emotions implies the possibility of losing your peace) and then bursting with excitement when you have the chance to be heard and listened to without having to sacrifice your peace and your connections. Also,and this is the most obvious thing here,Hanayo is someone who CLEARLY does everything EXCEPT what she wants to do. When she wanted to join the idol club,she activelly avoided letting people know that she was interesed. She even hid this from Rin,her best friend. Hanayo would rather stay quiet about what she wants to do than risk disturbing the peace. She never EVER pays attention to her own feelings and wants,which sure,can look like E2 on the surface,but once you think about it a bit,it is EXTREMELY E9. However,I am open to discussion and if anyone has any E2 arguments,I'd love to hear them as long as they're respectful!! <3

Hanayo Koizumi is one of the nine main characters in Love Live!. She is a first year in Otonokizaka High School. Her image color is green, though she is also represented with teal and yellow. She is a member of Printemps, a sub-unit under µ's. She succeeded Nico Yazawa as the president of the Idol Research Club after the third years have graduated and at the end of the movie, was succeeded by Yukiho Kosaka and Alisa Ayase.
