Hmmm...right, SP 9? Nagisa? SO 9 fits much better. However, I believe ultimately SX 9 is the best fit for Nagisa. I'll explain why SO 9 is more plausible than SP 9 and then explain why SX 9 fits the best. The SO 9, throughout their life, tirelessly aims for satisfying the needs of others in a group dynamic. According to Naranjo, these types hide their sadness or otherwise negative feelings under an outward persona of eternal bliss. Their reasoning behind this is to reassure and motivate others to continue on and be happy. Unlike the SP 9, these nines push personal needs and wants aside to make room for others. While the SP 9 takes comfort in concrete, real-life, immediate materials and surroundings that they find reassuring, the SO 9 finds reassurance in feeling welcomed into a group. To accomplish this the SO 9 pushes themselves to an extreme extent to prove their worth. The SO 9 typically takes on the role of a leader or some other sort of inspirational figure for others to look to for support and assistance. The SO 9s' fear is not feeling welcomed in a group atmosphere. With the SP 9, however, they seek comfort in isolation and physical stimuli. The SP 9 can often times tune out the rest of the world after concluding that it is a waste of time and interacting with others has too many potential drawbacks. Both the SP 9 and the SO 9 desire harmony due to their 9 core, but while the SP 9 seeks out this harmony via isolation and comforting external stimuli, the SO 9 seeks out harmony via looking for groups in which they can feel welcome and assume a leadership position of sorts that allows them to encourage others to pursue their dreams. Naturally, Nagisa fits the SO 9 much more than the SP 9. Her entire reasoning behind wanting to start up a club seems to revolve around an SO 9 thought process. However, as I said, I do believe that SX 9 fits better. It is true that Nagisa appears to follow this SO 9 thought process. However, while this could be partly because of the SO 9s' incessant need to feel welcome in group dynamics, wouldn't a desire for finding meaning in life be a better fit for her motive? The SX 9 finds comfort in having a meaning in life that is given to them by another individual. While the SO 9 does abandon their own wants and needs for those of others, the SX 9 does the same thing, but for a different reason. While the SO 9 does this to feel welcome in a group and they feel that this is the only way they'll feel welcome in a group dynamic, the SX 9s' wants and needs revolve around the wants and needs of someone else. The SX 9 tends to dissociate from their own emotions and their actions revolve around making a certain other person happy, which in turn makes the SX 9 happy. The aforementioned desire for identifying a meaning to life is seen in Nagisa's following quote: - “Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. You made me so happy. I don’t want you to be lost or afraid or anything like that. From here on out, I know things might be hard sometimes. But no matter what may await, please don’t regret meeting me.” Nagisa, in this quote, has evidently identified a meaning for her life. Couldn't her real reason behind attempting to start up a club be to find a meaning for living? By starting this club Nagisa increases her chances of meeting someone who can become her reason for living, which is an SX 9 thought process, not an SO one. Prior to encountering the individual who will become the SX 9s' reason for living the SX 9 struggles with structure in their life. They will also typically struggle with understanding their own emotions and feelings. Prior to encountering Okazaki Nagisa is the exact same way. This is seen in many of the scenes in which she is talking to herself. She questions her own emotions and asks herself what she is thinking and feeling as if she didn't really know. This encapsulates Beatrice Chestnuts' thoughts on the SX 9 perfectly. We see Nagisa struggle with making the decision of establishing her club. This is something that is seen in the SX 9 as well. SX 9 can understand what they want to do but hesitate and struggle to bring themselves to do it. This is a source of confusion for Nagisa, too. Rather than being motivated by her need to feel welcomed by others like the SO 9, she is motivated by unconsciously putting herself in the shoes of others. This ability of hers is seen very commonly in how she goes about de-escalating conflicts. While both the SO and SX 9 mediate, Nagisa goes about it in an SX 9 way as opposed to an SO 9 way. Other than this the SX 9 is just as likely as the SO 9 to fit any of the aforementioned SO 9 characteristics. They're motivated by different factors, however. The SX 9 motivations do align more with her personality than the SO 9 motivations, in my opinion.
