I think he’s a 2w3 with a 271 tritype instead of a 3w2 with a 379 tritype. He’s very eager to help the player character learn about Pokémon as well as anyone else interested in it. He can also be a flatterer and somewhat of a people-pleaser, like when he was conversing with Diantha and Lysandre in the Lumiose City cafe. His w3 comes in with him desiring success and recognition for his advancements in Pokémon research.
