I think he’s a 2w3 with a 271 tritype instead of a 3w2 with a 379 tritype. He’s very eager to help the player character learn about Pokémon as well as anyone else interested in it. He can also be a flatterer and somewhat of a people-pleaser, like when he was conversing with Diantha and Lysandre in the Lumiose City cafe. His w3 comes in with him desiring success and recognition for his advancements in Pokémon research. Also, I think he has a 1 gut fix instead of a 9 gut fix because he is very passionate and principled about his Pokémon studies and advocates for education and getting hands-on experience with Pokémon. The 271 tritype is aptly called “The Teacher”, and people with these tritypes are helpful, energetic, supportive, fun-loving “mentor” types who love to work and play.
