𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐓(𝐍) 𝐒𝐗𝟔 Hello, I’d like to present my arguments for why I believe Nam Gyu/ Player no.124 is an INTP SX6 I’ll divide the analysis into several stages, which are as follows: – 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐍𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐦, 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐦... 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐠𝐲𝐮 𝐈𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐘 𝐚 𝐓𝐢 𝐃𝐨𝐦. – 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐗𝟔, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐏𝟕, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐗𝟒, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐗𝟖. –– – 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐍𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐦, 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐦... 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐠𝐲𝐮 𝐈𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐘 𝐚 𝐓𝐢 𝐃𝐨𝐦: I often hear the argument that Nam Gyu is an Ne-dom because, when hide and seek, he came up with the idea to kill every blue vest he and Myung-gi encountered, supposedly due to “multidirectional thinking”… But that’s actually more a definition of Ti, or even Te. Nam Gyu suggested that plan mainly to convince 333 not to leave him, and the pretext for keeping him around until the end of the game was precisely the idea of killing every blue player to the last one. Ti relies on an abstract idea as the deciding factor and values facts mostly as illustrative evidence of that idea. Plus, I’d hesitate not to count this as Fe as well, because in practice he manipulated Mg a bit with the coin to make things easier for himself. And his Fi… it’s just hopeless. His feeling functions seem rather… flexible, because his mood depends entirely on the situation and the sensations he exposes himself to. On top of that, he shows a complete lack of personal moral principles. His Se is quite weak, because he’s completely dependent on whether he has something to get high on or not, and without something that fuels his confidence and assures him he’ll survive, he becomes clumsy, anxious, and everything falls apart. –– – 𝐍𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐲𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐗𝟔, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐏𝟕, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐗𝟒, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐗𝟖: It’s important, I think, to explain why Nam Gyu formed alliances that some people interpret as evidence that he’s an SP7. SP7s focus on building alliances for their own benefit, often driven by opportunism. They view relationships in a transactional way, creating “families” or networks based on mutual advantages. While these alliances may seem positive, they’re usually rooted in self-interest and personal gain, and often carry a level of corruption or cunning. The Self-Pres Seven constantly looks for leverage and ways to secure their position, driven by the fear of losing what they already have. This manifests as overindulgence—their excess revolves around making deals and profiting from every opportunity. They’re practical, resourceful, quick to spot others’ weaknesses, and ready to exploit situations, even in everyday conversations. Nam Gyu didn’t cling to Thanos first, and then to 333, because he wanted an exchange—him offering himself while Thanos provided drugs, and Myung-gi offered help… He wanted safety—the sense that he could stay behind someone’s back and that person would protect him or save him. He even relied on drugs to feel safer and to have something to hide behind. He also has a very escapist and counter-phobic approach to the fear of death—the idea that you should convince yourself not to be afraid and fully embrace the thrill of the game. That’s something an SX6 could say. SX6 reacts to fear by confronting it head-on, often taking a firm, aggressive, and combative stance. An E7 would run from any thought of death, because it would cause the kind of discomfort they actively avoid. It’s also worth noting that he said this to Min-su to make himself appear stronger, higher, and better in his eyes—only so he could control him, which Semi noticed. He’s not an SX4 either… For heaven’s sake, the only argument I saw was: “He’s aggressive and jealous of Thanos”… No, he isn’t. Nam-gyu’s anger wasn’t caused by the idea that someone might steal Thanos from him. It was caused by the fear of losing the person who provided him safety within the game arena—which meant he would lose access to drugs, the very thing that fueled his confidence and sense of security. He didn’t care about becoming less important to Thanos—he cared about ending up in an unsafe position, which triggered strong anxiety in him. Nam-gyu wasn’t jealous because it would cost him Thanos’s approval or validation, but because it could cost him his life. And he isn’t an SX8 either. Nam Gyu LARPs as an SX8 to protect himself. As I mentioned earlier, Nam Gyu is incredibly anxious, and his tactic was to act super strong and superior to secure safety and make sure no one would stab him in the neck with a fork… O_o Anyway… E8s don’t run from pain or risk—they find it invigorating. Nam Gyu could hold himself together only as long as he had Thanos’s drugs; an SX8 would be naturally adaptable. Nam Gyu lacked that adaptability.
