Gonna put my two cents in to start it off. The movie is about the exploration of the sense of self through the persona. Gary, then, is a shapeshifter-type INTJ archetype. In his small world he teaches psychology, the study of how people work, and enlarges it by taking on the "fake hitman" job. His background in knowing and studying people is what allows him to become any *type* of person in order to get the confession. I would therefore see his functions like this: Ni - Anticipates what kind of person he needs to be and changes his style of thinking to reflect that character. Foresight and quick thinking during the climax further reveals this. His teaching job and ability boil down complex issues to teach is, I would debate, a factor in this Te - Wide array of intellectual tools to navigate this way through conversations. It's not a script, or some kind of empathetic connection. The way he chooses his words furthers dialogue with someone in order to progress the conversation; it always has a goal built-in. His ability to think on his feet with the information he has available to him reinforces this Fi - His two cats, Id and Ego, and his small hobbies outside his life that he cares for. This is where I could see an argument made for ENTJ as his Fi is not very prominent throughout the movie. However he does seem to be passionate about teaching, and the things he likes are close to his heart so tert Fi Se - This is where a majority of the movie challenges him. He was terrified before meeting the first client, but let his Ni and Te do the talking. The movie is an expansion of his Se through an already healthy Ni-Te-Fi stack. He has a small, humble world before working with the police, and it opens up as the movie unfolds. Thus, I would put Se last
