"ما نوع الشخصية Marissa Cooper؟ Marissa Cooper هو نوع ISFP في mbti ، 4w3 - sp/sx - 479 في enneagram ، SLOEN في Big 5 ، SEI في Socionics."
There’s been a lot of debate over Marissa as ISFP 4w3 or ISFP 9w8. Let’s break down things and explain the differences and how the enneagrams impact the type: ISFP 4w3s artistic pursuits or personal style may be driven by a desire to stand out. They’re more self-aware and sensitive to how they are perceived, sometimes focused on crafting an identity. Their Fe (Extraverted Feeling) can be used to connect authentically but also to project their inner feelings outward. ISFP 9w8s tend to avoid conflict and prioritize their own and others’ comfort. Their Fi (Introverted Feeling) is balanced by the 8 wing, making them more resilient and assertive than a typical 9. Now, let’s look at how Marissa has handled different situations: Despite red flags and warning signs, she maintained a friendship with Oliver, which lead to her being held hostage at gunpoint (mid Season 1). Her refusal to listen to Ryan and his concerns were out of a desire to see the best in Oliver (ultimately a poor choice). Her relationship with Alex started out as a way to help Alex, with her ex girlfriend, Jodie, and ultimately Marissa uses the relationship to rebel against her mother (early Season 2). Marissa sacrifices her own discomfort about Trey’s attempted assault to maintain peace between Ryan and his brother (late Season 2). She hides the assault from Ryan, wanting him to have stability in his life for once. Her anger towards her parents, especially her mother, is a reflection of her 8 wing. Marissa again is blindsided by her tendency of putting others before herself and may have viewed helping Johnny as a second chance of saving Oliver (again, this lead to chaos and ruined her relationship with Ryan) and is deeply upset by Johnny’s demise (mid Season 3). Her rebellious streak and desire to save those around her leads to her relationship with Volchok (despite knowing he cheated with Johnny’s ex girlfriend, Casey). Although Marissa thought Volchok was a good person, she eventually sees his true nature and dumps him when she catches him cheating on her at her prom (late Season 3). Unfortunately, Marissa’s refusal to talk to Volchok causes her death (which could’ve been avoided if Volchok wasn’t drinking and if she’d heard him out). Her anger towards Volchok caused her to ignore him, which fueled his own anger and initially jealousy of her closeness with Ryan (who Volchok tries and fails to kill) where Volchok acts recklessly and Marissa is killed (Season 3 final). Marissa feared and avoided conflict (Luke, Oliver, Trey, Volchok) or separation from others (when Ryan leaves to be with Theresa, or her dad leaves). Her loss of inner peace or stability (her parents’ divorce) caused her to be overlooked or dismissed (by her mother). Yes, she does act in the best interests of others and sacrifices her own needs (to the point of self destruction) but that’s also due to her ISFP persona (caring about those around her, yet failing to see the chaos of her actions or choices). Her sensing-feeling is clear (such as when she shoots Trey to protect Ryan) as it also reflects an 8 wing (fueled by protective instincts and desire to shield Ryan from harm) whereas a 3 wing is more of concerned with how others perceive her or being in the spotlight. Marissa lets her emotions back up to the point of bursts of anger during distress and rebellious or reckless behavior (mixing antidepressants with alcohol, shoplifting, dating someone her friends don’t approve of just to aggravate her mom, and even drinking to the point of blacking out). She even acknowledges her parents as flawed, referring to them as a thief and a slut in a public setting, not caring what people think (Season 1). 4w3s want to fit in, be authentic and stand out, but Marissa shows 9w8 (valuing harmony and peace over her own comfort or needs) and is willing to risk her social status or popularity to protect her friends (shoots Trey to save Ryan and ends up at public school as a result).
